Florida’s Flawed Voting Roll Purge Hurts the Rest of the South

COMMENTARY | I tend to agree with my local congressman, a conservative Republican, on issues concerning the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Several Southern states singled out from the bill have made big improvements, and should be treated like other states. Unfortunately, Florida’s voter purge will probably keep the rest of the South under VRA conditions even longer.
